Most importantly, none of the observed multitasking costs differed in size across gender, indicating that women and men performed equally well in both sequential and concurrent multitasking situations. Even when controlling for processing speed and spatial abilities, which, in line with prior studies, differed across gender groups, differences in multitasking costs across women and men remained absent.
