A really great article about how Richard #Stallman wrongly accused of things he didn't do/or say and overall cancel culture.

Has anyone bumped in to any concrete numbers over the environment impact of our usage of suboptimal software, eg js+web tech instead of native desktop apps, the power usage of crypto currencies, the cost of constantly brute forcing problems instead of elegant solutions?
Any data is much appreciated - it trying to write something intelligent about this.
A customer asked for a cost-effective solution to share a 10 gig file to upwards of 3,000 users per month, with a reliable uptime and minimal outage.
They proposed something like Amazon or Azure.
A cost-effective solution to make a large file available to a vast number of people is BitTorrent. It's been working for almost two decades, perfectly, despite numerous attempts to shut it down.
Why do they try to shut it down?
Because it's too honking good at what it does, and some people don't like it.
Nice collection of low cost vps tests.
It seems that Google wants to make using app bundles a requirement for new apps on Google Play in 2021: https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=320&v=cMr-b660Esw
This would mean developers have to upload their signing keys to google play even though there's no technical benefit in doing that. You can achieve the same efficient download sizes by using bundletool locally and uploading all generated apks. But it seems google will stop allowing that and just wants your signing keys.
My love life advice: Try not to be a "Richard"

What happened to the #diy interactive whiteboard community? I keep on finding abandoned websites/forums. The WiiMote approach seems very promising, yet interest seems to have ended years ago. Are there better alternatives by now, which i missed?
